Mr. Hestor opened the meeting by introducing all the members. He then stated
a correction that needed to be made in the last minutes. The minutes read
as fo!lows~ '~ A motion was made by Mr. Cousins and seconded by Mr. Hestor."
It should have read '~ A motion was made by Mr. Hestor and seconded by Mr. Lucas."
A motion was then passed to adopt correction.
Petition ~1 eencerning the setback of 66 Coral Drive~ Venetian Isle was ,read by
Mr. Hestor. (See attached form). He then asked for Mr. Pagliarulo~ owner of the
property~ to Step forward.
Mr. Pagliaru!o~ 3490 N.W. 23rd Ct.~ Port Lauderda!e~ Sands Points Homes~ Inc.
requested variance on the lot. He stated that the lot is a little irregular and
he is trying to conform with the other houses in the neighborhood. The restrict-
ions in the neighborhood cause the house to have certain setbacks. 12~ feet
specifically. He said the architect went by a straight course in drawing the
plans. Mr. Pagliarulo then said he felt the house could be made to fit on the
lot by changing the plans of the house.
Mr. Rudder' madeoa!motion the plans be granted. When no one seconded the motion
and after hearing further discussion~ he withdrew the motion.
Mr. Rudder then made a new motion that the variance be granted with restrict-
ions. This was seconded and voted 4-1 variance granted.
Petition ~2 was then read and brought up by the board. (See attached form.)
Mr. Wilbert Mil!ines~ 219 N.W. 10th Ave. then stepped forward and spoke to the
board. He ,-eXp~a~nedt'~hs~eh~S~mitY?is growing larger and that they need the
space.
Mr. Ward made a motion that the variance be granted~ and Mr~ Rudder seconded it.
The variance was granted.
~,Petition ~3 was read by Mr. Hestor concerning a duplex site. (See attached form.)
Mr. TheLmar Patterson stepped before the Board and explained his problem. He
agreed with one of the Board members that the only thing holding him back was
the lot size. After some discussion about the size of the iot~ a motion was
mede by Mr. Ward and seconded By Mr. Rudder to grant the Variance. Before this
was r~o!ved~ Mr. Hestor explained that he could not vote on Petitions ~2 & S
because he lives in the area. He wanted the record to show that the vote on

Petition ~2 will show a 4-0 vote granted.~When this was settled~ the original
motion concerning Partition #3 was granted 4-0.
After a short discussion concerning alternate members~ a motion was made for
adjournment. This was seconded and agreed on by all. Meeting adjourned.
