Robert Hueston
George Davis
Harold Blanchette, Bldg. Inspector
Mr. Yates called the meetLug to order.
Mr. Yates noted that Mr. Anthony Izzarone has requested a variance in
the rear set back requirements, Lot 27, Block 27, Rolling Green Ridge,
1st Addition. He has an existing patio and would like to enclose this
area with screen and al~miuum roof. ~. Izzarone is asking a variance
from 25' set back to ll' set back.
Mr. Izzarone cs~e forv~rd and stated he needed additional room for a
divorced daughter and her two children and also feels it will improve
the house.
Mr. Yates noted that the oatio has been in e_xistence for nine years
which now goes back almost to the l~me. ~. Blanchette noted that nine
years ago when this was built, the set back requirement was 6' from the
rear line.
Mr. Yates noted two letters stating they have no objection to this
request and there were no objectors present. One letter was received
from Mrs. Cahill opposLng this request.
Mr. Wehrell stated that he felt this is outside the Board's purview,
but that the 25' distance in the back is excessive. He feels the Planning
and Zoning Board should take cognizance of the fact that there is a 25'
rear set back on a 100' lot, and it should be changed to a lesser n~mber
of feet. However~ Mr. Wehrell feels this request is justified.
Mr. Yates asked Mm'. Izzarone if he intended to build immediately and he
stated that he d%R.
Mr. Sarno moved that the variance be granted. Mr. Wehrell seconded.
l~. Yates stated that inasmuch as the patio has been there for nine years,
this would be an improvement and better than it had been.
M~. Davis stated that he understands the whole problem, yet no one else in
the block has asked for this and did not feel he had sufficient reason to
get a variance.
The vote was ~ - For and Mr. Davis abstaLued.
