P~BLIC ~AR~G for a variance on required rea~ setback line was called for on the following described property: Lot 5, Block 4, Happy Home Heights, as indicated in Plat Book ll, Page V0, Palm Beach County Records. ApPlicant: Sislene Dean 2ddress: 124 N. E. 13th Ave. The applicant, Sislene Dean, was present and explainted to the Board that she wished to build a duplex within l0 feet of the rear line, which would be asking for a l0 foot variance, as the zoning code called for a 20 foot setback. She explained to the Board that she had asked for, and had been granted, this ss~me varis~nce on two adjoining lots during 196~, and had bUilt two duplex apartments l0 feet from the rear line. She now wished to build another duplex, which would line up exactly with the existing tWO. Queen Esther ~cCiendon, o~mer of Lots iV, m~d t.8, Block 4, located on 12th Avenue and backing up to Lot 5, Block 4, Happy Home Heights, objected to the variance ~equested. Saying that she was planning to build on to her house and s~ce she had a large family, thought that the buildings would be too close together. Danny EcClendon also presented objections to tb~ request for vari~l~ce. i~ir. Doughty moved that a varisnce of l0 feet be granted as had been done on the other two lots o~ed by Sislene Dean. ~r. APplicant: Carl D. Cunm~ins Address: 188 S. E. 27th Place Carl D. Cummins was present and explained to the oarm that he B ~ wanted to build a Florida room that would extend to 19'3~' from the rear line. & sketch which he had presented showing all four sides, was not available due to the fact that the Chairman was not present. No objectors were present in the audience and no written b0ectmons had been received. Nr. Thomas moved that a variance to build to 19'~:~ of the rear line be granted. Col. Wehrell seconded.
