R24-103 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 4 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND RATIFYING A PURCHASE ORDER 5 CHANGE ORDER TO INCREASE PURCHASE ORDER#231636 BY AN AMOUNT 6 OF $390,413.62 FOR CLEAN HARBORS ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES FOR 7 UFT STATION NO. 356 EMERGENCY REPAIR AT INTRACOASTAL 8 WATERWAY EAST BOYNTON BEACH BOULEVARD, FOR EMERGENCY 9 DIVERS NEEDED TO INSPECT THE STORM WATER PIPE; AND PROVIDING 10 AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES. 11 12 WHEREAS, on July 4, 2023, the City's Utilities Department requested an emergency 13 purchase requisition for an amount of $9,617.08 with Clean Harbors Environmental Services, Inc., 14 for Lift Station No. 356 Emergency Repair at Intracoastal Waterway East Boynton Beach Boulevard, 15 which needed for the divers to inspect and clean out the stormwater pipe to avoid any additional 16 sewer discharge into the Intra-coastal Waterway from residual debris settled in the stormwater 17 pipe; and 18 WHEREAS, on September 5, 2023 the City's Utilities Department requested a Purchase 19 Order Change Order to increase purchase order#231636, by an amount of$390,413.62, for a new 20 purchase order total amount of $400,030.70; and 21 WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon recommendation of staff, has deemed it to be in 22 the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City to approve and ratify the Purchase Order 23 Change Order increasing purchase order #231636 with Clean Harbors Environmental Services, 24 Inc., by an amount of $390,413.62 for a new purchase order total amount of $400,030.70 for Lift 25 Station No. 356 Emergency Repair at Intracoastal Waterway East Boynton Beach Boulevard diver 26 inspection and stormwater pipe clean out services. 27 28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 29 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 30 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 31 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption. 32 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby 33 approve and ratify the Purchase Order Change Order increasing purchase order #231636 with 34 Clean Harbors Environmental Services,Inc., by an amount of$390,413.62 for a new purchase order 35 total amount of $400,030.70 for Lift Station No. 356 Emergency Repair at Intracoastal Waterway 36 East Boynton Beach Boulevard diver inspection and stormwater pipe clean out services. 37 SECTION 3.
