AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
PLORIDA, SUPPLE~ENTING~ AND AMENDING CPA~PTER
15 of the CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY~OP
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO LICENSES,
R~PEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE~ITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~HE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is hereby supplemented
and amended as follows:
"Section 15-i0. ~pplication for Licenses: No
person shall be issued a license to engage in any business,
occupation or trade until a sworn application on a form to
be supplied by the City shall have been completed and
approved by the City Clerk, who for the purposes of this
Chapter is hereby de siq~d as the City License Officer.
The ;~aid City License Officer shall be responsible for the
administrative processing of all license applications under
the provisions of this Chapter, the collection of all license
fees, and shall issue licenses in the name of the City to
all persons qualifying under the provisions of this ordinance,
said qualifications and requirements being more specifically
set forth in Section 15-11 hereinafter. In addition, in
connection with the admdnistration and application of this
ordinance, the said City L~cense Officer is hereby authorized
and required to:
1. Make Rules: Promulgate and enforce all rules
and regulations necessary for the operation and enforcement
of this ordinance.
2. Ad__~t Forms: Adopt all forms and prescribe
all information to be given therein as to character and other
relevant matters for ~ll necessary papers.
· 3. Require_ Affidavit si k~equlr' e apo!icant s~
to submit all affidavits and oaths necessary to the administra-
tion of this Ordinance.
4. Obtain Endorsements: Submit all applica-
tions to the City ~anager for his approval and, in addition,
to other proper city officials for their endorsements and
approval thereon as to compliance by the applicant with all
City regulations which they have the duty of enforcing.
$. .Investigate_~: Investigate and determine
the e±!gibil_ty of any applicant for a license as prescribed
herein.
6. Give Notice: Notify any applicant of the
acceptance or rejection of his application and shall, upon
his refusal of any license or permit, at the applicant's re-
quest, state in writing the reasons therefor and deliver
them to the applicant.
7. Information Confidential: The License
Officer shall keep all information furnished or secured under
the a~athority of this ordinance in strict confidence. Such in-
formation shall not be subject to public inspection and shall
be kept so that the contents thereof shall not become known
except to the persons charged with the administration or en-
forcement of this ordinance which is intended to include any
member of the City Council.
Section 2. Separability_! Each of the pro-
visions of this Ordinance are separable, including word, clauses,
phrase or ser~tence, and if any provision hereof shall be de-
clared null and void, the remaining portion shall not be
affected but shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 3. Repealing Provisions: All ordinances
or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
