R24-205 1 RESOLUTION NO. R24-205 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, 3 FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE 2024-2029 STRATEGIC PLAN FOR THE CITY OF BOYNTON 4 BEACH; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 5 6 WHEREAS, the City retained Lyle Sumek Associates, Inc., to create the City's 2024-2029 7 Strategic Plan; and 8 WHEREAS, the City Commission has held several public meetings and workshops 9 regarding the Strategic Plan to ensure that the allocation of City resources aligns with the needs 10 of the community, the policies of the City Commission, and the initiatives and projects of City 11 staff; and 12 WHEREAS,the Strategic Plan serves to ensure that City resources are utilized in alignment 13 with the policies and priorities outlined in the plan; and 14 WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, upon the 15 recommendation of staff, deems it to be in the best interest of the City residents to adopt the 16 2024-2029 Strategic Plan for the City of Boynton Beach. 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 18 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 19 SECTION 1.
