3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
4 BEACH, FLORIDA,APPROVING THE CITY TO SUBMIT A SPECIAL EVENT
5 PERMIT APPLICATION TO THE TOWN OF OCEAN RIDGE FOR
6 OCEANFRONT BARK EVENTS;AND FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES.

R WHEREAS, the Recreation and Parks Department is requesting that the City Commission
9 approve the Special Event Application to be submitted to the Town of Ocean Ridge that will allow
10 the Recreation and Parks Department to hold its Oceanfront Bark events; and
11 WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon the recommendation of staff, has deemed it in the
12 best interests of the city's citizens and residents to approve the City to submit a Special Event
13 Permit Application to the Town of Ocean Ridge for Oceanfront Bark events.

15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
16 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
17 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
18 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption.
19 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby
20 approve a Special Event Permit Application to the Town of Ocean Ridge for Oceanfront Bark
21 events (the "Application"), in form and substance similar to that attached as "Exhibit A."
22 SECTION 3. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby
23 authorizes the Mayor to execute the Application. The Mayor is further authorized to execute any
24 ancillary documents as may be necessary to accomplish the purpose of this Resolution.
25 SECTION 4. The Application shall be provided to Justin Johnson to submit to the Town
26 of Ocean Ridge.
27 SECTION 5. This Resolution shall take effect in accordance with law.

event.

t'7'1' Applications are not approved,nor permit granted,until applicant has received a"Letter of Approval".
ere A minimum$1,000 refundable deposit,security bond or similar financial pledge,payable to the town
shall be required.This deposit is to ensure that any damages to town property or rights-of-way are
repaired and returned to previous condition.The only entity capable of waiving the fee is the Town
Commission.
oft Unless extended by the Town Manager,all permits necessary to conduct the special event shall be
obtained and copies provided to the Town at least 14 days prior to the scheduled event.Also,adequate
provision for police,fire,and rescue services must be met as directed by the Chief of Police and Fire
Chief or their designee.
lr, The use or construction of platforms,bleachers,chairs or any other equipment or temporary structures
may be prohibited,restricted,or otherwise controlled by the Town Manager.
4-p Adequate off street parking must be provided for vehicles.
ena The applicant may appeal any decision to the Town Commission.
The Town Manager may revoke a permit at any time if there are findings that the health or safety of
public is threatened, in the event of an emergency,disorder or other unforeseen conditions which may
arise.
e r Applicant will maintain area clean during and for the duration of the event. Special event area will be
restored to previous condition after event has concluded.
07A certificate of such insurance shall be filed with the town prior to the commencement of the site
preparations for the special event,naming the town,its officers,employees and agents,as additional
insureds,as their interests may appear,and agreeing not to cancel such insurance without 30 days'
written notice to the town.
All permits for an event on state or county roads or property,the property of other municipalities, or
impacting other cities,shall require submission of proper waivers or permit with the special event
application by attachment.

your special event, identifying parking areas, adjacent roadways, existing structures,
proposed (temporary)structures/items, road closures, barricades/fences,signs, etc.;
b) Attach Letter(s)of approval from all outside agencies: (Florida Department of
Transportation(FDOT), Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Boynton Beach,
Manalapan, Environmental Resource Management(ERM),etc.)
c) Copy of current insurance certification(s)with the Town of Ocean Ridge listed as
"Additionally Insured"

A City of Boynton Beach Recreation & Parks Department free community event
when people can bring their dogs to a designated area of the beach from the hours
of 9am -12pm. Dogs must be appropriately licensed and behaved. There will be 3 to
5 vendors and a food truck.
Purpose of Event: To allow people to being their dogs to the beach on these specific dates
