A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CIT¥OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, CREATING
THE POSITION OF TRAINING 0FPICER, AND
PROVIDING THE DUTI$S, RESPONSIBILITIES,
DESCRIPTION, AND SALARY OF SAID POSITION.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the position of Training Officer as a
classified position is hereby created. The duties and respon-
sibilities of said office shall be in accordance with the job
description attached hereto and made a part hereof, at Pay Grade
33.

Characteristics of the Class:
Under the general direction of the Fire Chief, the Training o~ficer
iR responsibile for training activities. The Training Officer is
a direct representative of the Fire chief. The incumbent fu/~ctions
as a staff officer in support of management~ plans, organizes, directs,
coordinates and controls activities within area of responsibility, and
is responsible for a balanced training program for each individual of
the department as well as.for the coordinated response and program of
each of the departmental shifts so that each individual on his shift,
and each shift operates within an overall coordinated response and
activity procedure. Performs other work as required.

practical experience and classroom experience.
Demonstrated ability to carry out preptanning activities.
