R25-004 1 RESOLUTION NO. R25-004 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 4 BEACH, FLORIDA, TO CORRECT A SCRIVENER'S ERROR IN 5 PARAGRAPH ONE OF RESOLUTION NO. R24-297 RELATED TO THE ID 6 NUMBERS OF UNITS/VEHICLES TO BE REPLACED FOR THE BOYNTON 7 BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT; AND FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES. 8 9 WHEREAS, the City Commission had approved Resolution No. R24-297 to approve the 10 purchase of twenty-two (22) vehicles for replacement by using the Florida Sheriff's Association 11 Contract FSA24-VEL32.0, the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract FSA23-EQU21.0, and the 12 HGACBuy Contract AM10-23; and 13 WHEREAS, the estimated total amount is $2,183,255, plus a contingency of twenty-two 14 percent (22%) or $480,316.19 for vehicle increases, should the vehicles no longer be available and 15 new models be delivered; and 16 WHEREAS, Resolution R24-297 contained a scrivener's error in the first paragraph, stating: 17 "WHEREAS, the Public Works Fleet Management&Mobility Division desires to purchase(18)2025 18 Ford Police Interceptors for the Police Department from Duval Ford for an amount not to exceed 19 $906,066,for the replacement of units 4031, 4033,4035,4037,4862,4863,4866,4958,4960,4961, 20 4962, 4963, 4965, 4967, 4968, 4969, 4971 and 4973, by utilizing the Florida Sheriff's Association 21 Contract FSA24- VEL32.0: Pursuit, Administrative & Other Vehicles; and"; and 22 WHEREAS,the correct statement in the first paragraph of Resolution R24-297 should read: 23 "WHEREAS, the Public Works Fleet Management& Mobility Division desires to purchase(18) 2025 24 Ford Police Interceptors for the Police Department from Duval Ford for an amount not to exceed 25 $906,066, for the replacement of units 4030, 4033,4037,4864,4865, 4960,4961,4962,4963,4964, 26 4965, 4967, 4969, 4970, 4971, 4973, 4975, and 4976, by utilizing the Florida Sheriff's Association 27 Contract FSA24- VEL32.0: Pursuit, Administrative & Other Vehicles; and"; and 28 WHEREAS,correcting the scrivener's error is necessary to fulfill the objectives and purpose 29 of Resolution R24-297. 30 31 32 33 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 34 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 35 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 36 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption. 37 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby 38 replace paragraph one of R24-297 to read as: "WHEREAS, the Public Works Fleet Management& 39 Mobility Division desires to purchase (18) 2025 Ford Police Interceptors for the Police Department 40 from Duval Ford for an amount not to exceed $906,066, for the replacement of units 4030, 4033, 41 4037, 4864, 4865, 4960, 4961, 4962, 4963, 4964, 4965, 4967, 4969, 4970, 4971, 4973, 4975, and 42 4976, by utilizing the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract FSA24-VEL32.0: Pursuit,Administrative 43 & Other Vehicles; and". 44 SECTION 3. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby approves 45 the purchase of the eighteen (18) 2025 Ford Police Interceptors for the Police Department from 46 Duval Ford for an amount not to exceed $906,066 as further detailed in Exhibit A of Resolution 47 R24-297. The Mayor is further authorized to execute any ancillary documents required or 48 necessary to accomplish the purposes of the Agreement and this Resolution, which corrects the 49 Units as identified in Resolution R24-297. 50 SECTION 4.
