3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
4 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE AUCTION OF THE
5 VEHICLES/EQUIPMENT SUBMITTED BY THE FLEET MAINTENANCE
6 DIVISION FOR DISPOSAL BY USING THE ONLINE AUCTIONEERS JJ
7 KANE AUCTIONEERS; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR ALL
8 OTHER PURPOSES.

10 WHEREAS, on August 15, 2023, the City Commission approved Resolution No. R23-102
11 approving an Agreement with JJ Kane Auctioneers to facilitate the sale at public auction of City-
12 owned vehicles and equipment that have been identified as surplus; and
13 WHEREAS, the Fleet Maintenance Division is submitting twenty-one (21) units to be
14 disposed of at auction by using the online auctioneer JJ Kane Auctioneers; and
15 WHEREAS, the Fleet Maintenance Division has verified that the units are no longer of use
16 and have completed all proper documentation for disposal, and requests the City Commission's
17 review, evaluation, and approval to sell the surplus vehicles/equipment; and
18 WHEREAS, the proceeds will generate revenue for the Fleet Maintenance Fund; and
19 WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon recommendation of staff, has deemed it to be in
20 the best interests of the citizens and residents of the City to approve the auction of the
21 Vehicles/Equipment submitted by the Fleet Maintenance Division for disposal by using the online
22 auctioneers JJ Kane Auctioneers.

24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
25 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
26 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
27 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption.
28 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby
29 approve the auction of the Vehicles/Equipment submitted by the Fleet Maintenance Division for
30 disposal by using the online auctioneers, JJ Kane Auctioneers. A copy of the Vehicle List to be
31 auctioned is attached hereto and incorporated herein as "Exhibit A."
32 SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect in accordance with law.
