• 1 RESOLUTION NO. R25-052 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 4 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR FISCAL 5 YEAR 2024-2025, CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS ("CIP") BUDGET, 6 TO INCREASE CIP EXPENDITURES, AWARD TASK ORDER NO. 213 7 WITH ALL COUNTY PAVING AND TASK ORDER NO. 196 WITH 8 ATLANTIC SOUTHERN PAVING; AND FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Budget was adopted on September 23, 2024; and 11 WHEREAS, staff is requesting Commission approval to amend the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 12 budget; and 13 WHEREAS, a Budget Amendment is needed to appropriate the funds necessary to award 14 All County Paving as the next pre-qualified vendor for the Quantum Boulevard asphalt path (Task 15 No. 213) in the amount of $164,980, plus a 15% contingency of $24,747, and to award Atlantic 16 Southern Paving as the pre-qualified vendor for the SE 3rd Street Improvements (Task No. 196) in 17 the amount of $305,663.80 plus a 10% contingency of $30,566.38 if needed for staff approval of 18 change orders for unforeseen conditions for a total expenditure of $525,957.18; and 19 WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon the recommendation of staff, has deemed it in the 20 best interests of the City's citizens and residents to approve a Budget Amendment for Fiscal Year 21 2024-2025, Capital Improvement Projects ("CIP") Budget, to increase the CIP expenditures to 22 $471,000 plus contingencies of $56,000, for a total of $527,000 of General Fund Balance 23 appropriation, and award Task Order No. 213 with All County Paving and Task Order No. 196 with 24 Atlantic Southern Paving. 25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 26 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 2% SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 28 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption. 29 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby 30 approve a Budget Amendment for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, CIP Budget, to use funds for $527,000 31 for the Quantum Boulevard asphalt path (Task#213)and for the SE 3rd Street Improvements (Task 32 #196), as further detailed in Composite Exhibit A, attached hereto. 33 SECTION 3. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby 34 authorizes the Mayor to execute Task Order No. 213 with All County Paving and Task Order No. 35 196 with Atlantic Southern Paving. 36 SECTION 4.
