R25-056 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 4 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A PURCHASE ORDER TO ROBERT HALF 5 INTERNATIONAL, INC., TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY STAFFING, DIRECT- 6 HIRE, AND OTHER EMPLOYER SERVICES TO THE CITY ON AN AS- 7 NEEDED BASIS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $100,000; AND FOR 8 ALL OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, temporary staffing services are important for the City of Boynton Beach, as 1I they help the local government address fluctuating needs while ensuring smooth operations 12 across various departments. Whether for seasonal events, special projects, or covering for 13 employees on leave, temporary staff offer the flexibility required to maintain essential services 14 without overextending the city's budget. These services allow the City to bring in skilled 15 professionals for short-term assignments, from administrative support to specialized roles, 16 without the long-term commitment of permanent hiring. Furthermore, temporary staffing allows 17 for assessing potential talent for future full-time roles, contributing to the City's long-term 18 workforce planning. By utilizing temporary staffing, the City can efficiently manage resources, 19 reduce costs, and maintain high-quality service to residents; and 20 WHEREAS, Robert Half International,Inc.,a highly regarded provider of temporary staffing 21 services, currently holds a contract with the Houston-Galveston Area Council ("H-GAC-Buy") to 22 deliver staffing solutions. Utilizing the Robert International,Inc., and H-GAC-Buy Contract, the City 23 entered into an Interlocal Contract, ILC No. ILC18-6755, with H-GAC-Buy in May 2018 to expedite 24 the procurement of certain goods and services for the City; and 25 WHEREAS, the Robert International, Inc. and H-GAC-Buy Contract is set to expire on May 26 31, 2025. The partnership would enable the City to efficiently meet its temporary professional 27 staffing needs. Staff is estimating the use of $100,000 for these as-needed services; and 28 WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon the recommendation of staff, has deemed it in the 29 best interests of the city's citizens and residents to approve a Purchase Order to Robert Half 30 International, Inc., to provide Temporary Staffing, Direct-Hire, and Other Employer Services to the 31 City on an as-needed basis in an amount not to exceed $100,000. 32 33 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 34 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 35 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 36 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption. 37 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby 38 approve a Purchase Order to Robert Half International, Inc. to provide Temporary Staffing, Direct- 30 Hire, and Other Employer Services to the City on an as-needed basis in an amount not to exceed 40 $100,000. 41 SECTION 3. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby 42 authorizes the Mayor to execute any ancillary documents as may be necessary to accomplish the 43 purpose of this Resolution. 44 SECTION 4.
