R25-103 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 4 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF THREE FORENSIC 5 WORKSTATIONS FROM SUMURI LLC AND APPROVING A PURCHASE 6 ORDER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $180,000 CONTINGENT 7 UPON THE EXECUTION OF THE FDLE ONLINE STINGS GRANT; AND 8 FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, the Boynton Beach Police Department is requesting approval for the purchase i 1 of three forensic workstations built by Sumuri, LLC ("Vendor") to be reimbursed through a grant 12 from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement("FDLE") under the Fiscal Year 24-25 Online Sting 13 Operations program; and 14 WHEREAS, the Vendor has been designated as a sole-source provider for these i 5 specialized workstations; and 16 WHEREAS, this purchase will directly enhance the department's ability to effectively 17 support and execute online sting operations, ensuring compliance with FDLE standards and 18 improving operational efficiency; and 19 WHEREAS, although the quoted amount is $157,950, the Department is requesting an 20 allocation of up to $180,000 to account for potential cost fluctuations due to the current economic 21 climate and prevailing tariffs; and 22 WHEREAS, this purchase is being made pursuant to the Sole Source Procurement 23 Exemption outlined in Section X, Alternatives to Formal Sealed Bids, of the procurement policy; 24 and 25 WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon the recommendation of staff, has deemed it in the 26 best interests of the city's citizens and residents to approve the purchase of three forensic 27 workstations from Sumuri, LLC, and approve a purchase order in an amount not to exceed 28 $180,000 contingent upon the execution of the FDLE Online Stings Grant. 29 30 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 31 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 32 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 33 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption. 34 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby 35 approve the purchase of three forensic workstations from Sumuri, LLC, and approve a purchase 36 order in an amount not to exceed $180,000 contingent upon the execution of the FDLE Online 37 Stings Grant. 38 SECTION 3. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby 39 authorizes the Mayor to execute any ancillary document as may be necessary to accomplish the 40 purpose of this Resolution. 41 SECTION 4.
