R25-106 RESOLUTION NO. R25-106 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 4 BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OR CITY MANAGER TO 5 EXECUTE MINOR DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS, MAJOR DEVELOPMENT APPUCATIONS, BUILDING PERMIT APPUCATIONS, 7 AND RELATED DOCUMENTS AND FORMS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES. 9 10 WHEREAS, from time to time, the City must submit minor and major development I applications, building permit applications, and related documents (collectively, "Development 12 Applications") to appropriate governmental agencies for City-owned properties and City-initiated 13 development projects; and 14 WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is in the best interest of the City to authorize 15 the Mayor or City Manager to execute Development Applications and related documents on lo behalf of the City to expedite the application process and ensure timely responses to development 17 opportunities; and 18 WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to establish a clear authorization procedure for 19 the execution of Development Applications to promote efficient governance and administrative 20 practices; and 21 WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon the recommendation of staff, has deemed it in the 22 best interests of the city's citizens and residents to authorize the Mayor or City Manager to execute 23 Development Applications on behalf of the City. 24 25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 26 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 27 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 28 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption. 29 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby 30 authorize the Mayor or City Manager to execute Development Applications on behalf of the City 31 for the types of Development Applications described in Exhibit A. 32 SECTION 3.
