R25-131 RESOLUTION NO. R25-131 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 4 BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OR CITY MANAGER TO 5 SIGN DOCUMENTATION RELATED TO THE STATE HOUSING 6 INITIATIVES PARTNERSHIP (SHIP) PROGRAM LOCAL HOUSING 7 ASSISTANCE PLAN (LHAP); AND FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES. 9 WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach is an "entitlement" community eligible to receive err assistance from the State Housing Initiatives Partnership (SHIP) Program; and 1 WHEREAS, the SHIP Program requires documentation to be signed throughout the year 12 in addition to the approved Local Housing Assistance Plan (LHAP) plan. These documents include, 13 but are not limited to, reimbursement requests, funding award/disbursement agreements to 14 approved applicants, housing rehabilitation contracts, and emergency housing requests. To 15 ensure timely reimbursements, resident assistance, and aid in providing the approved program io deliverables, staff request a designated signer(s) for the associated program documentation; and 17 WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon the recommendation of staff, has deemed it in the 1x best interests of the City's citizens and residents to authorize the Mayor or City Manager to sign 19 documentation related to the SHIP Program LHAP on an as-needed basis. 20 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 22 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 23 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 24 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption. 25 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby 26 authorizes the Mayor or City Manager to execute any ancillary documents, certifications, forms, 27 funding award/disbursement agreements to approved applicants, housing rehabilitation 28 contracts, assurances, or any other required documents as may be necessary to accomplish the 29 purpose of this Resolution. 30 SECTION 3.
