WHEREAS the City of Boynton Beach, Florida has re-
request for annexation from Irene Hall Bowers, the
the following described property in attached Exhibit A;
WHEREAS, the City Council at its regular meeting on
February 7, 1978 considered this annexation request and upon the
recommendations of iqs Planning and Zoning Board, feels that the
proper zon!ng for this parcel of land would be the City's Zoning
Classification C-3 (Community Commercial); and
WHEREAS, Chapter 171.362 Florida Statutes, requires
that when a Municipality desires to annex property at a zoning
classification, which would permit highe~ density than is cur-
rently in effect under County regulations, that the Municipality
request and receive permission from the Board of County Commis-
sioners for such a change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1: That the City Coun2il hereby requests
permission from the Board of County Comm/ssloners of Palm Beack
County to rezone, when annexed, the property described in attache
Exhibit A from RM (Residential Multiple Family District) and CG
(General Commercial) to Zone C-3 (Community Commercial) which
will result in an increase in the density allowed in such land.
Section 2: That a certified copy of this resolution
is being sent to each member of the Board of County Commissioners
the County Administrator and the Director of Planning, Zoning
and Building.
