R25-176 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 4 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING A PURCHASE ORDER TO ATLANTIC 5 SOUTHERN PAVING AND SEALCOATING, LLC FOR BID NO. PWE22-008 6 FOR GOLFVIEW HARBOR ROAD RESURFACING PROJECT PHASE II, IN 7 THE AMOUNT OF $805,903.30, PLUS A 10% CONTINGENCY OF 8 $80,590.33 FOR UNFORESEEN CONDITIONS, FOR A TOTAL OF 9 $886,493.63; AND FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES. 10 11 WHEREAS, at the March 18, 2025, City Commission Meeting, the Commission reviewed 12 and approved the Fiscal Year 2025 Paving Plan. Among the approved tasks was the resurfacing of 13 Golfview Harbor. In the fall of 2024, the City completed a similar resurfacing project for the main 14 arterial roads within the community. The remaining portions of the neighborhood now require 15 resurfacing due to a failing micro-surfaced riding layer application that is beyond its service life. 16 The completion of this project will provide a complete network on newly resurfaced roads within 17 the Golfview Harbor Community; and 18 WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon the recommendation of staff, has deemed it in the 19 best interests of the City's citizens and residents to approve a Purchase Order to Atlantic Southern 20 Paving and Sealcoating, LLC for Bid No. PWE22-008 for Golfview Harbor Road Resurfacing Project 21 Phase II, in the amount of $805,903.30, plus a 10% contingency of $80,590.33 for unforeseen 22 conditions, for a total of$886,493.63. 23 24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 25 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 26 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 27 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption. 28 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby 29 approve a Purchase Order to Atlantic Southern Paving and Sealcoating, LLC for Bid No. PWE22- 30 008 for Golfview Harbor Road Resurfacing Project Phase II, in the amount of $805,903.30, plus a 31 10% contingency of $80,590.33 for unforeseen conditions, for a total of $886,493.63, as further 32 detailed in Exhibit A, attached hereto. 33 SECTION 3. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby 34 authorizes the Mayor to execute any ancillary documents as may be necessary to accomplish the 35 purpose of this Resolution. 36 SECTION 4. Payment will be made as outlined.When signed, this document becomes a contract. E&OE We understand that if any additional work is required different than what is stated in this proposal/contract, it must be in a new contract or added to this contract. The parties also acknowledge that the time for performance of the work may be impacted by market conditions beyond contractor's control in which event the contract time shall be extended. Please see all attachments for special conditions that may pertain to aspects of this project. This price of this contract is based upon completion of the work within thirty days from the date hereof, thus the price is good for a period of up to 30 days from the date listed herein. If the work is not completed within thirty days, and the contractor experiences price increases for materials in excess of those upon which the price of this contract were based as of the date hereof, the contract price shall be increased by the amount of the documented price increase.
