R25-212 RESOLUTION NO. R25-212 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 2 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING INCREASING THE EXPENDITURE FOR 3 NMS MANAGEMENT SERVICES FROM $45,000 TO AN AMOUNT NOT 4 TO EXCEED $70,000; AND FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES. 5 6 WHEREAS, NMS Management Services provides essential employee drug testing services 7 for the City, including pre-employment screening, random drug testing, and after-hours post- e accident testing for Fire Rescue and Police Department personnel. Additionally, they manage l) DOT-compliant testing and reporting requirements; and 10 WHEREAS, the City and NMS Management Services entered into an Agreement for 11 employee drug testing services, and approved Purchase Order No. 250376 in an amount not to 12 exceed $35,000; and 13 WHEREAS, the City increased Purchase Order No. 250376 to an amount not to exceed 14 $45,000; and is WHEREAS, based on current and projected usage levels, the City desires to increase 16 Purchase Order No. 250376 to ensure uninterrupted services for safety-sensitive positions and 17 compliance with applicable regulations; and 18 WHEREAS, this purchase qualifies for procurement under the exclusion for Medical 19 Services as outlined in the City's Procurement Policy; and 20 WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon the recommendation of staff, has deemed it in the 21 best interests of the City's citizens and residents to approve increasing the expenditure for NMS 22 Management Services from $45,000 to an amount not to exceed $70,000. 23 24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 25 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 26 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 27 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption. 28 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby 29 approve increasing the expenditure for NMS Management Services from $45,000 to an amount 30 not to exceed $70,000. 31 SECTION 3. This Resolution shall take effect in accordance with the law. RESOLUTION NO.
