2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
3 BEACH, FLORIDA, TO CORRECT A SCRIVENER'S ERROR IN
4 RESOLUTION NO. 25-011, APPROVED ON JANUARY 7, 2025, TO
5 REFLECT AN ANNUAL EXPENDITURE NOT TO EXCEED $260,000
6 RATHER THAN $120,000, AS ORIGINALLY STATED; AND PROVIDING
7 FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach sought professional temporary staffing services to
10 be provided on an as-needed basis to provide uninterrupted temporary personnel due to
1 l immediate and current vacancies, and ongoing projects; and
12 WHEREAS, specialized staffing services are exempt from the competitive process of the
13 City's Procurement Policy; and
14 WHEREAS, the City's Public Works and Utilities Departments requested approval of an
15 Agreement between the City and Alpha 1 LLC for temporary staffing services for an annual
1n expenditure not to exceed $260,000; and
17 WHEREAS, on January 7, 2025, the City Commission approved Resolution No. R25-011
1x authorizing an Agreement with Alpha 1 Staffing in the amount of $120,000 annually; and
19 WHEREAS, upon further review, it was determined that a scrivener's error occurred in the
20 agenda item, as the original intent was to authorize an annual expenditure not to exceed $260,000
21 rather than $120,000; and
22 WHEREAS, the correction ensures that the City's staffing needs can be met at the intended
23 capacity and funding level, allowing departments to maintain adequate service levels and
24 operational continuity.

26 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
27 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
28 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
29 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption.
30 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby
31 replace paragraph three of R25-011, to read as: "WHEREAS the City's Public Works and Utilities
32 Departments are requesting approval of an agreement between the City and Alpha 1, LLC for

33 temporary staffing services for an annual expenditure not to exceed $260,000; and."
34 SECTION 3. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby
35 replace paragraph six (SECTION 2) of R25-011, to read as: "The City Commission of the City of
36 Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby approve the agreement between the City and Alpha 1, LLC
37 for Temporary Staffing Services between the City and Alpha 1, LLC for an annual expenditure not
38 to exceed $260,000 for a three-year period with an option to renew for two (2) additional one (1)
39 year periods, in form and substance similar to that attached as Exhibit A."
40 SECTION 4. If any provision of this Resolution is found to be invalid or unconstitutional,
41 such invalidity shall not affect the remaining provisions of this Resolution, which shall continue in
42 full force and effect.
43 SECTION 5. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby approves
44 the agreement between the City and Alpha 1, LLC for Temporary Staffing Services between the
45 City and Alpha 1, LLC for an annual expenditure not to exceed $260,000 for a three-year period
46 with an option to renew for two (2)additional one(1)year periods,which corrects the total annual
47 expenditure as identified in Resolution R25-011.
48 SECTION 6. This Resolution shall take effect immediately, in accordance with law.
