A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
2 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF A SWAT ROBOT
3 FROM ICOR TECHNOLOGY INC., FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT IN
4 THE AMOUNT OF $87,500, UTILIZING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
5 PROGRAM (CIP) FUNDS AND GSA CONTRACT GS-07F-0430V RATES;
6 AND FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, the City Police Department desires to purchase a SWAT Robot from ICOR
10 Technology Inc. The purchase would strengthen the City's public safety programs by improving
I I the Police Department's tactical response capabilities while reducing risks to both officers and the
12 community. The use of this technology will support safer resolutions to critical incidents, decrease
13 the likelihood of injuries, and limit liability exposure for the City. The robot's enhanced efficiency
14 in critical operations can lead to quicker incident resolution, which may reduce overtime costs and
15 overall strain on department resources. This investment aligns with the City's commitment to
16 utilizing innovative technology to enhance operational effectiveness, safeguard personnel, and
17 protect the public; and
18 WHEREAS, the City Commission, upon the recommendation of staff, has deemed it in the
19 best interests of the City's citizens and residents to approve the purchase of a SWAT Robot from
20 ICOR Technology Inc., for the Police Department in the amount of $87,500, utilizing Capital
21 Improvement Program (CIP) funds and GSA Contract GS-07F-0430V rates.

23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
24 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
25 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
26 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption.
27 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby
28 approve the purchase of a SWAT Robot from ICOR Technology Inc., for the Police Department in
29 the amount of $87,500, utilizing Capital Improvement Program (CIP) funds and GSA Contract GS-
30 07F-0430V rates as further detailed in Exhibit A, attached hereto.
31 SECTION 3. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby

32 authorizes the City Manager to execute any ancillary documents as may be necessary to
33 accomplish the purpose of this Resolution.
34 SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect in accordance with the law.
