SECTION I.
Definitions
(a) A tourist park or camp is hereby defined to be

Jniv is hereby defif~ed to be any section or plot of
ground uoon which is erected, sa~y cmno cobtage or for the ac-
co~rmodation of each =uvomoo~le trailer or house car.
(d) Camp cottage shall be m-~_y building or structure
used by ~ s~n~le family as living er sleeping quarters.
(e) Automobils trailer or house ear shall be definsd to
be any vehicle used as sleeping or living quarzers mounted
on wheels m~a propelled either by its o~n power or by other
power driven vehicle to which it may be attached°
(f) Department of Public Health shall mean such deoart-
merit created or established by authority of the To~mz~ of-
Eoynton, and entrusted with t~_e regulation, control, and
supervision of all ~ztters pertaining to the general health
of the citizens and the commm-~ity; ~d in the absence of such
department, it ~uall refer to the governing authority of the
Town of Eoynton. It Shall also mean the State Board of
Healthc~ea~ed by the~ Sta~:o£ Florida.~inQlp~4~, all rules

with each p~oposed locatiofl or sit~ for camp cottag~s~ t~ailers,
and ~amp cars~ location of all proposed sanitary conveniences,
Iaund~- building, and sl~p sinks~ the proposed method of
sewag~ disposai om removal, t~ plan for water supply and
Iighting. A typical plan fo~ proposed ca~p cottages~ toilet
and wash rooms and laund~ shall be filed for future refer-
~n~. B~for~ any permit or license shall be granted~ these
pl~s must first b~ fully approved by the Building Department ,
and must comply with the provisions of ~e state law governing
the subject or subjeets ~amed and defined herein.
SEC TI ON IV.
All !m~d used as a touris~ park or oa~kp or auto-
mobile tourist park or oa~p shall be located on well.~dra!ned
site~ of ample size, free from heavy or dense growth of
brush or weeds. The land shall b~ free from marsh and shall
bs ~raded to insars rapid drainage during m~d following
rain.
SECTION
Each site used as a tourist park o'_.~ camo or as an
automobile tourist ~rk or camp shall be provided with a~
amply and adequate supply of wazer of safe, sanitary, quality
aSproved by the State Eoard of Health of the State of
Florida. ~AUaere water from othsr sources tha~; that of the
mn'~'licipat supply is proposed to be used, the source of tb~s
supply shall first be approved by the Depart~n~ of Public
[~ealth, who shall ~ke reg~latio~-s providing for the per-
iodical exami~ation of the water.
SECTION VI.
Each tourist or automobile park or csmup shall'be
provided with s~fe and adequate provision for the collection
anm removal of wasta ~id garbage, and shall provide a proper
~td acceptable sewer system either by connection to the to~'s
sewer system w~ere such is available, or to septic tank, all
of which shall comply fully with all laws, o_r<linances, and
re~lations prescribed by the Town of Boynton and by the
State of Florida.
SECTION VII.
Each ul~it in any tourist camp or park upon which a
csmup cottage is erected or placed shall be not less
thirsy feet by forty feet in area, clearly defined by markers
~at each corner, and no single family cottage used for living
or sleeping quarters shall be le~s tl~=n one hundred and
fifty sq~dare feet, and not less than ten feet~ wide at its
narrowest point, a~-~d not less than seven feet higla from
floor to plato, a~-d shall have ~%ot less than twenty-seven
square f~*t of Yentilating open, lng or windows properly
fully screened.
SECTION VII!.
Each cottage sit~ or location sloail be well drained
a~d the floor of each cottage shall be raised not l~s~ thah
four incb~es above th~ ~round level vo permit free and
~nterrupted ventilation. If'floor be of wood it shall be
raised ~ot less th~'~ twelve inchss above the gro~d level.
SECTION IX.
The roof cover of each cottage shall extend suffi-
c&ently beyond the exterior wall line so that all roof water
shall fall free of walls.
SECTION X.

SECTION XII~
No trailer or camp car shall be located on any site
where there is less ~han ten feet between th~ trailer or
camp car ark other building, trailers~ or cam~¢a~sinc~ded
in the c~p or park area, and no ~ottage site or location
of trailer or camp e~r site shall be placed or erecte~within

SEDTi0N XIIi.
Hard surfaced roadways or driveways shall be provid&d
not less than 18 feet in wid~m, well-marked in the daytime
and well-lighted at night~ said roadways or driveways
be so located that each unit of ~he ca~p is easily accessible.
All entrances and exits from the camp shall be w~ll~marked~

supervised~
SECTION
Each camp or park upon which three or more cottages~
trailers, or camp ears are erected or placed, ~%d where
privateaconveniences for each site or cottag~ are not pro-
vided~ shall provide at locations hereinafter defined,
toilets, urinals, wash basins, sled bas~s~ showers or
baths~ water f~cess or spigots in accordance with the
following:
One toilet or stool for each sex for e~ery
10 units or fractions thereof.
~b) Each toilet room provided for men shall have
in addition one urinal stall.
{c) Each toilet room having three toltecs or
fraction ~nereof sb~l! be erovided with one
lavatory or wash basin.
(d) O~e shower or bathtub shall be provided for
each sex for each ten units or fraction thereof~
(e) All toilets~ basins and skewers shall be plgced
~ ~mperly constructed buildings located
more than one ~andred ~d fifty feet {150 ft-)
from ~ach cottage or trailer unit.
(f) Buildings shall be well-li.~.r~ted at all times,
day or night, well~ventilated with screened
openings, and constructed of such moisture oroof
~terial as shall permit rapid ~ld satisfactory
cleaning, seouring~ and washing.
[g) The floors shall be of cncre~e or similar material
elevated not less than four in,nos above grade,
and each room provided with floor drains.

SE~'TiON
Each tourist park or ca~p or auvomobile park or
camp shall be under the direct ranagement of the owner or
license~ or his agent or representative for whose acts he
or they shall be fully responsiblo.
The name of the person entrusted with the direst
~managemen~ of th~ camp or park ~a!! b~ filed for ref~renc~
with the Deoartment of Public Health and with the Police
Department Sf th~ Town of ~oyn~on~ Florida. Ea~ p~rson or
persons must be of good reputation ~%d Cnarac~er, and shall
satisfy the public authority for their experience and cap-
acity 5o supervise, manage~ re&~late~ contro!~ and maintain
good order in the ca,ap.
SECTION XVI,
Each tourist or automobile park or camp ~nall be
provided with a building ~o be ~own as the office,
%fnich shall be kept copies of all records pertaining to
mana~sment or suoervision of the camp or park~ such records
to be availab!~ for inspection by tlae Depart~.ent of Public
Health or by the Police Department.
SECTION XVII.

quave provision for th~ enforcement of suc~h rules; to sub-
scribe to and adopt such genera! ~ales and regulations which
may be h~reafter adopted for the managemen~o of such parks
or camps ~

Provide for re~alar inspection of the waser
and the sanitary conveniences.
{b) Provide for the collection ~'~d removal of
garbag~ or other waste material.
~rohibit the placing or storage of ~nsight!y

(~) Provide for the regular cleaning, painting~
repairing, disinfecting of all buildin~s~ arD_
(e) Taka such other maasures as may be deemed 5o be
neaessary by the ~opartment of P~blie Health to
preserve the heaith.~ co~ort~ safety of all
persons, residing i~ the camp, and the general
public o
(f) Shall cause each dog, cat~ or cromer pet animal
to be kept m~der control at all times, either
by being tied up or confined in proper enclosure.
(g) Shall repo~t to ~d~e Department of Public Health
all cases of co~uunicable disease or suspected
cases of co~munnioabte disease affecting any
inmate of the park or camp°
(h) gnall report in~uediatety to ~ahe public authority
all acts of a disorderly character oo~mitted by
any person or persons inside th~ park or camp~ mhd
Shall see that copies of Stm%dard Rules and
Regulations shall be prepared and posted ~u con-
spicuous locations t~nroug~hout the park or cramp.
SECTION XViit.
Each tourist or automobile 'oark or camp shall clearly
indicate one or more entrances a~d exits, tZae use of ~nich
shall be enforced. ?~Zaere it is established by complaint of
adjoining property o~ers ti~at their property is being tres~
passed upon by inma~zes of any tourist park or camp or
automobile park or camp, it shall be the duty of fine etcher:
~ua~ager or other ~erson responsible to provide a fends or
other effective barriers -co insure such o~%ers of adjoining
p~operty protection against trespassing.
SECTION XIX.
Nothing herein contained shall prevent the combination
of a tourist park or camp and an automobile tourist park or
ca~up~ orovided the requirements of each are fully complied
with.
SECTION XX.
Ail ordinances or ~ar5s of ordinances in conflict
with or inconsistent wi~a the provisions of tb_i~ ordinance
are hereby repealed.
SECTION
A~y perso~ firm~ partnarship or corporation
shall violate or fail to comply ~zith any of thc provisions
of this ordinance shall be punished by a fi~ not lass
than fiv~ dot!~s (~.00) nor to exceed Fiv~ ~ndred Dollars
~00.00), or by imprisonment at hard ~bor on ~-~ streets
or other worms of th~ Tov~ of Boyntcn~ for a term nov
lng sixty (60) days, or both. Each day that a violation is
permitted to exist shall constituV~ a separass
SECTION XXII.
If ~ section, sente~ce~ ~lause or phrase of t~is
ordinance shall be held to be invalid~ or unconstitutional
byzal~.y court of competent ~urisdiction, such section~ seil-
'cence~ clause or phrase so dec!arid ~o be unconstitutional
shall no~ affect the ~alidity of the remainder o-~ this
ordinance, ar~l the remainder of t~his ordina~'~c~ shall be
valid ~
SECTION XXII!.
Vf~ereas a grave emergenc~ exists and is here~y
declared to exist for the i~mnediate taking effect of this
ordinance, ~ne same shall be in full force and virtue from
and after the date of its passage.
