A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
3 BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN APPLICATION TO PERMIT THE
4 BOYNTON BEACH POLICE DEPARTMENT TO TEMPORARILY MOVE ITS
5 RADIO SYSTEM AND ELECTRONICS INTO THE COUNTY SHELTER AT
6 THE PUBLIC SAFETY TOWER SITE; AND FOR ALL OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Boynton Beach Police Department ("BBPD") requires the temporary
o movement of the Department's radio system and electronics in order to replace BBPD's enclosure
10 for approximately four to six months; and
1 t WHEREAS, BBPD estimates there will be a short period of time where radio will be
12 transferred to County radio channels, estimated to be six to eight hours; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is in the best interest of the City to approve
14 the execution of the Application for License to Use County-Owned Property in order to facilitate
15 the temporary use of County-owned property for BBPD's radio and electronics equipment.

17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
18 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
19 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
20 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption.
21 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby
22 authorize the Mayor or City Manager to execute the Application for License to Use County-Owned
23 Property, as further detailed in "Exhibit A."
24 SECTION 3. The fully executed Application shall be retained by the City Clerk as a public
25 record of the City, and a copy shall be provided to Karl Maracotta to forward to the County
26 Facilities Development & Operations Department.
27 SECTION 4. This Resolution shall take effect in accordance with the law.
