registered and picked up tee shirts. She said the wheelchair was designed as a large hot
air balloon. She thanked all who participated
B. Bob Borovy Award

the history of the award, which is a $1 K monetary award to a senior going to college. The

on the website and sent to the schools.
C. Youth Symposium (April 3)
Chair Wilkinson explained that this event is with the Recreation and Parks Department.
She said that in the past, it was held at the Carolyn Sims Center that had informational
speakers. The Board learned through Frank Ireland, Recreation Supervisory, who has
held the event, he advised it is difficult for kids to sit in lectures all day long, so they
revamped the program to be like a field trip that holds tours of the different facilities. She
announced that one stop will be in Chambers and the Board will hold a mock meeting
and students can ask questions.
D. Fundraising & Outreach
Chair Wilkinson stated they need to think of ways to fundraise. She repeated if anyone
personally knew a candidate that ran for office they can ask them to donate to the Board

find something to sell. She noted the Board had sold water at various events.
