R26-109 RESOLUTION NO. R26-109 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, 2 ADOPTING A PROPOSED MUNICIPAL MILLAGE RATE FOR 3 GENERAL OPERATING BUDGET PURPOSES FOR FISCAL YEAR 4 2026-2027,STATING A ROLLED-BACK RATE,AND SETTING THE 5 DATE, TIME, AND PLACE OF THE FIRST PUBLIC HEARING; 6 PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 7 8 WHEREAS, pursuant to section 200.065(2)(b), Florida Statutes, it is the responsibility of 9 the Municipality's governing body to advise the Property Appraiser of its proposed millage rate, 10 rolled- back millage rate, and the date, time, and place of the first public hearing at which the 11 proposed millage rate and tentative budget will be considered. 12 13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON 14 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: 15 SECTION 1. The above-referenced whereas clauses are incorporated herein by 16 reference. 17 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby sets a 18 proposed millage rate of 7.7500,which has been computed to fund the General Operating Budget 19 for Fiscal Year 2026-27. The rolled-back rate is 7.4170. 20 SECTION 3. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby sets 21 September 8, 2026,at 6:00 pm, at Commission Chambers, Boynton Beach City Hall, 100 East Ocean 22 Avenue, Boynton Beach, FL 33435, as the date, time, and place of the first public hearing to 23 consider the proposed millage rate and the tentative budget. 24 SECTION 4. The City Manager of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is hereby 25 authorized to execute and submit DR-420 Certification of Taxable Value to the Palm Beach County 26 Property Appraiser's Office. 27 SECTION 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and 28 adoption. 29 30 RESOLUTION NO.
