A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
2 BEACH, FLORIDA, CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF ADAM
3 TEMPLE AS DEPUTY CITY MANAGER; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
4 DATE.

6 WHEREAS, Article II, Section 20(a) of the Charter of the City of Boynton Beach provides
7 that the appointment of the Deputy City Manager by the City Manager is subject to confirmation
8 by the City Commission; and
9 WHEREAS, Adam Temple has served the City of Boynton Beach as Assistant City Manager
10 — Development Services since October 18, 2022, following confirmation by the City Commission
11 pursuant to Resolution No. R22-144; and
12 WHEREAS, during his tenure with the City, Mr. Temple has provided leadership in the
13 administration of municipal operations and development services and has demonstrated the
14 experience and qualifications necessary to serve as Deputy City Manager; and
15 WHEREAS, the City Manager has appointed Adam Temple to serve as Deputy City
16 Manager and requests confirmation of that appointment by the City Commission; and
17 WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that confirming the appointment of Adam Temple
18 as Deputy City Manager is in the best interests of the City and its residents.

20 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
21 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
22 SECTION 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
23 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption.
24 SECTION 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, does hereby
25 confirm the appointment by the City Manager of Adam Temple to the position of Deputy City
26 Manager for the City of Boynton Beach
27 SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall retain the Resolution as a public record of the City.
28 SECTION 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon adoption.
