1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
2 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.26-109, WHICH ADOPTED A PROPOSED
3 MUNICIPAL MILLAGE RATE FOR GENERAL OPERATING BUDGET
4 PURPOSES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026-2027 AND STATED A ROLLED-BACK
5 MILLAGE RATE, TO CORRECT THE ROLLED-BACK MILLAGE RATE;
6 PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

8 WHEREAS, on June 30, 2026, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida,
9 adopted Resolution No. 26-109, setting a proposed millage rate of 7.7500 to fund the General
10 Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27, and stating a rolled-back rate of 7.4170, pursuant to
11 section 200.065(2)(b), Florida Statutes; and
12 WHEREAS, subsequent to the adoption of Resolution No. 26-109, City staff identified a
13 calculation error affecting both the rolled-back millage rate stated in Resolution No. 26-109; and
14 WHEREAS, upon recalculation, the correct rolled-back rate is 7.4257, rather than 7.4170
15 as stated in Resolution No. 26-109; and
16 WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, desires to amend
17 Resolution No. 26-109 to correct the rolled-back millage rate and the budget deficit figure as set
18 forth herein.
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
20 BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
21 SECTION 1. The above-referenced whereas clauses are incorporated herein by
22 reference.
23 SECTION 2. Section 2 of Resolution No. 26-109 is hereby amended to read as follows:
24 The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby sets a
25 proposed millage rate of 7.7500, which has been computed to fund the
26 General Operating Budget for Fiscal Year 2026-27. The rolled-back rate is
27 7.4257.
28 SECTION 3. The City Manager of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is hereby
29 authorized to execute and submit DR-420 Certification of Taxable Value to the Palm Beach County
30 Property Appraiser's Office.

31 SECTION 4. Except as expressly amended herein, all other terms and provisions of
32 Resolution No. 26-109 shall remain in full force and effect.
33 SECTION 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
34 adoption.
