76-DDDRESOLUTION NO. 76-DDD A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 76-AAA AND AMENDING THE CIVIL SERVICE RULES AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY BY REVISING DESCRIPTIONS OF JOB CLASSIFICATIONS AND THEIR ATTENDANT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AND BY ADOPTING AN AMENDED PAY PLAN FOR MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach heretofore adopted Resolution No. 76-AAA, revising certain des- criptions of job classifications and modifying the pay plan for Municipal Employees, said Resolution becoming effective September 21, 1976; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Charter 'of the City of Boynton Beach,Florida, the Municipal Personnel Director has proposed cer- tain amendments to the Civil Service Rules and Regulations of said City to provide additional and revised descriptions of job classifications (the duties and responsibilities of which are set forth in the job description booklet on file in the offices of thc Personnel Director and City Manager), and further providing for the modification of the pay plan for the municipal employees, copies of said amendments being attached hereto as Exhibits"A"and "B" respectively;and WHEREAS, the City Manager has examined the aforesaid pro- posed amendments and has approved them without modification; and WHEREAS, after thorough review of such proposed amendments, the City Council deems the enactment and adoption of same to be in the best interests of the efficient administration of the~munici- pal personnel system; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLQRIDA: Section 1. Resolution No. 76-AAA is hereby repealed and rescinded in its entirety. Page 1 of 2 Pages Section 2: The proposed amendments to the currently existing Civil Service Rules and Regulations of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, providing for additional and revised de- scriptions of job classfications, being attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and which is hereby incorporated and made a part hereof by reference, together with the duties and responsibilitie~ of such classifications, as the same are set forth in the job description booklet presently on file in the~ffices of the Personnel Director and City Manaqer, be and the same are hereby approved, ratified and adopted. Section 3: The amended pay plan for the municipal employ- ees of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, as recdmmended by the municipal Personnel Director and attached hereto as Exhibit "B'~!, which is incorporated and made a part hereof by reference, be and the same is hereby approved, ratified and adopted. Section 4: In all other respects the Civil Service Rules and Regulations of said City are ratified and confirmed as here- tofore adopted and amended. Section 5: This Resolution shall be implemented and become effective immediately. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 30th day of September, 1976.
