PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO REG-
DI~TE THE USE 0F~THEPUBLIC STREETS,
PARKS, PUBLIC AND 0THERPLACES IN
THE TOW OF BOYNTON BT PERSONS OVER
THE AGE OF EIGHTEEN YEARS, AND TO
PROVIDE FOR TME~ PROSEC~TION, FOR
VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE AND FOR'
THE IMPOSITION OF PENALTI~ FOR SUCH
VIOI~TIONS.

B01rNTON~ PALM BEACH COUNTM~ ~LORIDA.
lo That in order to promote the public peace~
wel£are, harmo~ky and goo~ order of the Town of Boynton,
in Palm Beach County, Florida, the Town Commission of
sa~ Town deems it necessary to regulate the use of the
public streets, parks, public and other places in the
Town Of Boynto~.' by persons over the age of eighteen
year s.
2. It shall be unlawful for any person o£ the
Caucasian Race over the age of eighteen years to loiter,
stroll or be about or in the public streets,
w~de r,
parks, public, and other places, on foot, in a vehicle
o~ any kind whatsoever, or in any other way within that
territory in the Town of Boston, Florida, established
and set apart and known as The Negro District within
the Town o.-~ Boynton, Florida~, more particularly described
as follows:-
Co~encing at the intersection, of the Wes.t Line
of the Right-of-Way of the Florida East Coast
Railway Company and the North Line of Arden Park
Addition to the Town~ of Boynton, Florida; thence
west along said North Line of Arden Park Addition
and following said line extended West to the
Center Line of County Road or Green Street Extended
North; thence North along said Center Line of
County Road or Green Street and following said
Center Line extended North to the South Bank of
The Boynton Canal; thence following the South
Bank of the Boynton Canal in an Easterly direction
to the ~Vest Line of the Right-of-Way of the
Florida East Coast Railway Company;~ thence
following said ~est Line of the Florida East Coast
Railway Company's Right-of-Way in a southerly
direction to the point of beginning:-
after the hour of 9:00 o'clock P.M. of any day during
the months of 0cto~er, November, December, January,
February, March, April a~d ~ay, or after the hour of
lO:O0 o~clock P.M. on any day during the months oF
June, July, August and September, in any year,
unless called there to render medical or surgical
assistance to persons residing in the Said Negro
District, or in ease of any emergency or calamity
in the said Negro District, which emergency may

be declared by the 'constituted governing authori y
County Palm Beach,
of the Town of Boynton, the of
the state of Florida, or the United States of America;
provided, however, that this ordinance shall not
apply to the members of the Police or Fire Department
of the ~own of BoYnton, when said members are in pursuit
of their, duties.
3. It shall be unlawful for .any person of the
Negro Race, over the age of eighteen years to ioiter~
wmm. der, stroll or be about or in the public streets,
parks~ public and other places, on foot, in a ve~_icle
of any kind whatsoever, or in any other way, within
t~,at ~territory in the Town of BOynton, Florida~
established and set apart and known as. ~The White
District within the Town of Boynton, Florida"~, which
district shall comprise all of the land or parcels
of land within the TOwn of Boynton, Florida, with
the exception of ~The Negro District within the Town
of Boynton, Florida~, more particularly described in
Section ~ of this OrdinanCe; after the hour of 9:00
o'clock P.M. of any day during.the months of 0ctober~
Novermber, De~ember, January, February, March~. April
and May, or after the hour of 10:00 o'clock P.M.
on any day du~ing the months of June~ July, August and
September, in any year, unless called there by the
constituted governing authority of the Town of Bo~w-nton~
the County of Palm Beach~ the state of Florida, or the
United States of America.
~. Any person violating a~.y of the proviSions
of this Ordinance shall be fined not more than $28,00
for each offense, or be imprisoned in the Town Jail for
the Judge of the Mayor's Court of the Town of Boynton,
Florida.
5'. All ordinances or Parts of Ordinances
consistent With the provisions of this Ordinance, be-and
the same are Hereby repealed.
6. This Ordinance sb~ll take effect December l, 1933.
The above Ordinance, Having been read in full at
a regular meeting of the Board of ~own Commissioners
on November Vth, 1933, was duly passed and adop e~
on it's second ~_nd final r~adi~g at a Regular Meeting
of the Board of Tov~n Commissioners held on Novermber 21,
1933.
