AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
1 f THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 2. ADMINISTRATION,
ARTICLE I. SECTION 2-13.5 COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT ADVISORY BOARD FOR THE
CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT; CREATED,
APPOINTMENT, TERMS, DUTIES. TO PROVIDE
FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF ONE ALTERNATE TO
SAID BOARD; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS,
SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION AND AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 90 - 22, the City Commission of the
City of Boynton Beach, Florida created the Community
, Redevelopment Advisory Board for the Central Business
District; and
WHEREAS, at the time of creation the Board was
comprised of five (5) members to provide recommendations to
the Community Redevelopment Agency for matters relating to
the Central Business District; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Boynton
Beach deems it to be in the best interests of the City to
appoint an alternate member to said Board,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. That Chapter 2. Administration, Article
I. Section 2 -13.5. Community redevelopment advisory board
for the central business district; created, appointment,
terms, duties. be amended by adding the words and figures in
underlined type, and by deleting the words and figures in
btruck- through type as follows:
Sec. 2 -13.5. Community redevelopment
advisory board for the central business
district; created, appointment, terms,
duties.
(a) There is hereby created a five (5)
member and one alternate member
community redevelopment advisory board
for the central business district
(CRAB -CBD) to provide recommendations to
the community redevelopment agency for
matters relating to the central business
district.
(c) The community redevelopment
advisory board for the central business
district (CRAB-CBD) shall serve at the
discretion of the City Commission. The
City Commission shall appoint five (5)
members and one alternate member to
serve on the community redevelopment
advisory board for the central business
district (CRAB -CBD). Appointments to
the board shall be made by the City
Commission. Each member and alternate
member shall be appointed for a one (1)
year term and may, upon majority vote of
the commission, be reappointed for
consecutive terms.
(d) ...
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of
inances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby
ealed.
Section 3. Should any section or provision of this
ordinance or portion hereof, any paragraph, sentence, or
word be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of
this ordinance.
Section 4 Authority is hereby granted to codify said
nance.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
