A special meeting of the Town Council was held on the above date with
the fcl!cwinfg members present, A. C. Shepard, president of the council,
A.A. Atwater, J. C. Powell, J. P. Bowen and B. F. Evans, Councilmen, and
Eunice E. Magnuson, clerk.
The meeting was called to order b„ AteC. Shepard, president of the
Council.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the advisibility of sending a
telegram to Tallahassee regarding the bill pending in the legislature
granting a new charter to the Town of Boynton.
Upon motion the-€eliew4ig- unanimously carried, the following telegram
was drafted and the clerk instructed to send same to our attorney, C. C.
Chiilingsworth in Tallahassee
It is the desire of to intire Council of Town of Boynton
that you obtain all assistance possible from Representative
Carmichael and Senator Campbell in passage of bill grantin` ne
Charter to Town of Boynton.
There being no further busines upon motion the meeting adjourned.

Motion made by B. F. Evans and seconded by J. C. Powell that the eom-
munication from J. W. Ricketts of Fort Myers, in regard to the electric •
Light plant herr be laid on the table. Motion carried.
