ORDINANCE NO. 091-g'~
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. O91-72 OF SAID
CITY, BY AMENDING SECTION 5. A. OF SAID
ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR SELECTION OF
TWO HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS BY THE CITY
COMMISSION AS MEMBERS OF THE BOARD FOR A
TERM OF ONE (1) YEAR; PROVIDING FOR
CONFLICTS, SEVERABILITY, CODIFICATION
AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commission of the
City of Boynton Beach, Florida, to amend Ordinance No.
O91-72 of the City of Boynton Beach, Section 5.A.
Organization. to provide for selection of two (2) high
school seniors by the City Commission, who must reside
within the City limits of the City of Boynton Beach and who
must attend a public school in Palm Beach County for a term
of one (1) year.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That Section 5.A. of Ordinance No.
091-72 of the City of Boynton Beach is hereby amended by
adding the words and figures in underlined type and by
~eleting the words and figures in struck-through type as
follows:
Section 5. ORGANIZATION.
A. The Education Advisory Board
shall be comprised of nine (9) permanent
members and two (2) alternate members,
all to be appointed by the City
Commission, provided two (2) members
shall be from the Coalition of Boynton
West Residential Associations, Inc.
(COBWRA). Of the members so appointed,
four (4) shall be for a term of three
(3) years, three shall be for a term of
two (2) years, and the COBWRA members
shall be for a term of one (1) year.
Their successors shall be appointed for
a term of two (2) years. Alternate
members shall be appointed for a period
of one (1) year. There shall also be
appointed two (2) high school seniors,
who must reside within the City limits
of the City of Boynton Beach and who
must attend a public school in Palm
Beach County to serve for a term of one
(1) year, to be selected by the City
Commission.
Section 2. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.

Section 3. Should any section or provision of this
)rdinance or portion hereof, any paragraph, sentence, or
~ord be declared by a court of competent jurisdiction to be
invalid, such decision shall not affect the remainder of
~his ordinance.
Section 4. Authority is hereby granted to codify said
Drdinance.
Section 5. This ordinance shall become effective
~mmediately upon passage.
