[talked to the Tovm Commissi0nem, s yesterday about the
~E.~estion ;~'~r. ~arker mace regarding the paving of south
~'~of ~alnetto Street.
~en Hr. ~ar~er was in here yesterday morning I talkea
ith him shout t~is improvement sn~, of course, it is a
~¢t that ~s soon as this present paving program is com-
;eted it may be a long time before there will oe an
pha!t plant in Boynton, and no other type of bituminous
vement would, be of as high quality.
· ~arker stated that he did not think it wss equitable
include this stretch cf Falmetto v,~,~h the balance of
~metto on th~ same assessment rate, inasmuch as you ~11
~ constructed a ~o_~ti,or~ of' the work. We then went into
matter of c~::st ans. a~reed that you had probably s oent
e than ~2,0~.~%.0D on this street
435
I went to the Town Commissioners with the proposition that
your stretch be inCluded with the balance of Pa~etto and
.that you be assessed the same rate and then that you be
rebated ~2,000.O0. This will reduce your assessment by
practically fifty percent cna i believe that it surely is
a good propostion. You will have nothing to pay for about
a year and the cost of course is a lien against the lots
and by that time you may have sold the lots, and there will
be ten years to pay the cost.
It it is agreeable with you thet the Town proceed with the
improvement of this stretch, they will have their Attorney,
Nr. Finch, draw uo a legal document in which you will waive
any ob'e~tion to ~he assessment and
~mdng p~oviding that the Town rebate will include the agree-
you $2,000.00 on this
~assessment. If this is agreeable to you please sign this
~letter so that the paving company can Pr. oceed at once, he-
,cause it is urgent that this work be mens in the very near
future. The attorney can prepare the papers later on.
Very truly yours,
~CCEPTED: A. h Parker~($igned~ ,
