63-IRESOLUTION No. 63-I.
WHEREAS, North Second Avenue constitutes a main thoroughfare
of vehicular traffic through the City limits for East-West traffic; and
WHEREAS, said North Second Avenue is also designated as
State Road No. 804; and
WHEREAS, said North Second Avenue, between U. S. Highway
No. 1 and the Seaboard Airline Railway, has been maintained in the past by the
City of Boynton Beach; and
WHEREAS, it is the considered opinion of the City Council of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, that said maintenance could be more
expeditiously handled by the State Road Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
1. That the FLORIDA STATE ROAD DEPARTMENT is hereby
respectfully urged to undertake the maintenance of North Second Avenue,
through the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, between U. S. Highway No. i and
the Seaboard Airline Railway, and that the Board of County Commissioners of
Palm Beach County, Florida, is hereby respectfully urged to utilized their bes
efforts in accomplishing the above purpose.
