63-FFRESOLUTION No. 63-FF WHEREAS, the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, deems it essential that all matters of an inter-racial nature affect- ing any of the citizens of said municipality, be met and handled on an amicable basis, as has been the custom in the past; and WHEREAS, in order to alleviate any such problems arising in the future, it is deemed essential that an advisory committee be established to properly inform the City Council as to the nature and extent of such problems and to recommend possible solutions thereof to the City Council; NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA: 1. That an inter-racial committee of the CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, DA, is hereby established to consist of eleven members, incl~rding the zor of the municipality, as Chairman, and ten citizen members to serve at the pleasure of the City Council. 2. That there is hereby appointed to said inter-racial committee the g initial members: William Be ck Ben Cain Thomas Dean Rev. tDarl Downey Ezell Hester Edith Hood Rev. Randolph Lee Lottie Pierce Stanley Porter John J. Ryan 3. Said inter-racial committee shall meet at the call of the Chairman, or three members, to consider any problems confronting the municipality 'egarding racial matters and the committee may make formal recommendations o the City :,ougt~, after thorough consideration of any such problems. i ": ,:.,':: ,.
