A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE C~-I-Y OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
REGARDING IVlATNTENANCE AND DESIGNATED
POITCE PATROL ZONE FOR QUANTUM PARK;
SUPPORTING SE-i-i-LEMENT OF A LEGAL DTSPUTE
BETWEEN THE PALM BEACH COUNTY SCHOOL
BOARD AND QUANTUM COMIVlUN~I'Y
DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, as the result of a recent dispute between Quantum
Development District and the School Board of Palm Beach County, the City was
requested to support a proposed settlement agreement by the parties.
WHEREAS, the City was requested to facilitate the settlement by
committing to maintenance of Gateway Boulevard between :[-95 Congress
Avenue and to provide a designated police patrol zone for Quantum Park;
NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COF4MISSION
OF THE CZTY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORZDA THAT:
Section 1. The City will create a designated police patrol zone for
Quantum Park when the high school opens.
Section 2. The City will provide road landscaping and irrigation
maintenance along Gateway Blvd., between 1-95 and Congress Avenue, The
degree of maintenance will be more specifically delineated in a long term
Maintenance Agreement between the City of Boynton Beach and Quantum
Community Development District.
Section 3. The City Manager and City Attorney are authorized to
negotiate and draft said Agreement. The Maintenance Agreement is subject to
Commission approval.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.
