07-23-58ARESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CALLING OF SEVENTY-EIGHT CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH 2%-~% REFUNDING BONDS, DATED OCTOBER l, 19~6, AND DUE OCTOBER l, 1971. WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach has built up a surplus of $78,000.00 in funds designated solely for the payment of bond interest and reduction of City bonded indebtedness, and WHEREAS, there were no sealed bids received on June 2nd, 1958, in response to the advertisement placed in the Daily Bond Buyer in May 1958, and WHEREAS, the bond Resolution of April llth, 19~7, stipulates that "If at any time there is $5000.00 or more in the Refunding Bond Interest ~nd Sinking Fund Account over and above the amount of the next interest requirement, the said fund shall be used by the City, after giving reasonable public notice of its intention, for the purpose of purchasing bonds,", and Whereas, it is further stipulated in the Bond Resolution of April llth, 19~7, that "notice thereof shall be filed at the place of payment of principal and interest of said bonds at least thirty days prior to the date of redemption and shall be published once not less than thirty nor more than sixty days before such redemption date in a newspaper having a general circulation in the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and once in a financial journal published in the City of New York, New York." NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that such notice shall be given to the Chase National Bank of New York on or before September 1st, 1958 and that a notice of the redemption of bonds in the amount of $78,000.00 shall be published:in the Boynton Beach News, Boynton Beach, Florida and in The Daily Bond Buyer in New York New York.
