1. Call to Order
Vice Chair Morera called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
II. Moment of Silent Prayer/ Pledge of Allegiance
Jessica Cohen led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag followed by a moment of
silent prayer.
III. Approval of Minutes of April 24, 2003
Motion
Ms. Stern moved to approve the minutes. Motion seconded by Ms. Miller and
unanimously carried.
IV. Approval of Agenda
Motion
Ms. Miller moved to approve the agenda. Motion seconded by Ms. Stern and
unanimously carried.

V. Announcements/Presentations/Correspondence
Vice Chair Morera distributed a copy of the article that appeared in the Boynton
Times featuring the tennis carnival.
Ms. Cohen distributed the final issue of her school paper.

VII. Old Business
A. Youth Volunteer Bank (Banquet — May 31 @ Civic Center)
Ms. Claude reported that she is working on the program and almost everything
has been done. She requested that some of the Board members assist with
setting up the Civic Center on Saturday. It was decided to meet at the Civic
Center at 1:00 p.m. to set up.
Ms. Stern announced that Mr. Rosenstock would be attending the Youth
Banquet.
Ms. Claude requested that Vice Chair Morera contact Chairman Waldman to
determine if there are any other sponsors that need to be acknowledged. Vice
Chair Morera will contact Chairman Waldman to determine this.
Ms. Wilkinson also reported that East-West Karate was a sponsor again this
year.
Ms. Claude asked for three volunteers to assist with serving food.
Vice Chair Morera inquired how many people would be attending. Ms. Claude
reported that there are 138 and there are still 24 children that have not returned
their RSVPs. Ms. Claude will order extra food in the event more people show up.
Vice Chair Morera thanked Ms. Claude for her hard work in preparing the event.
B. Bob Borovy Award
Ms. Claude reported that she prepared the same letters that were sent out last
year and presented the judges' score sheets and the names of the winners to the
Board for their review. She also prepared the packets for the first, second and
third place winners for Chairman Waldman to present.

Vice Chair Morera noted that the ceremony for the awards portion of the banquet
has not been worked out. Ms. Claude said that she drafted a program and that
Chairman Waldman would be present at the banquet.
Ms. Claude said that she would give the welcome speech and present some
background on the Volunteer Bank. After that, she will introduce the Board. Ms.
Claude noted that there would be no City dignitaries in attendance because
some were attending a conference in Texas and others were unavailable.
Chairman Waldman will make the presentations to the winner and the runner-ups
of the Bob Borovy Award and the closing remarks. Various members will take
turns to announce the names of the volunteers and the sponsors, which will be
determined before the Banquet. Members were requested to be at the Civic
Center at 5:30 p.m.
C. Bowling Tournament (July 27, 2003 @ AMF Boynton Beach Lanes)
Vice Chair Morera reported that Chairman Waldman made the necessary
arrangements with the AMF Lanes and the event has been advertised in the
Funfare Magazine. She requested that discussion be put off until the June
meeting when Chairman Waldman would be present.

With regard to the Tennis Carnival, Ms. Stern reported that there was an article,
including pictures, in the Hunters Run Bulletin. Members noted that there was an
excellent turnout and that it was very successful.
Ms. Wilkinson said that on several occasions she has tried to publicly thank
Hunters Run at a Commission meeting, but has been unsuccessful. She intends
to try again at the June 3rd Commission meeting. Ms. Stern suggested that
copies of the newspaper article be presented to the Commissioners, which Ms.
Wilkinson agreed to do.

Ms. Wilkinson moved to table elections until the next meeting
by Ms. Stern and unanimously carried.
