A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
BEACH, FLORIDA, REAFFIRMING THE
APPOINTMENT OF KURT BRESSNER AS CITY
MANAGER OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
FLORIDA AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND
CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO
THE EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY WITH KURT BRESSNER, AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, on the 6th day of May, 2003, the City Commission conducted a
evaluation of the City Manager; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission has determined that salary and benefit
>ns are to be made to the employment agreement between the City of Boynton
and Kurt Bressner, City Manager, as set forth in the Amendment attached hereto as
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida
authorizes the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an Amendment to the Employment
Agreement between the City of Boynton Beach and Kurt Bressner, City Manager, a copy
of the Amendment being attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.

AMENDMENT TO EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the City Commission conducted a performance review of the City Manager
on , and reaffirmed the appointment of Kurt Bressner as City Manager of the City of
Boynton Beach; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Commissioners, hereinafter called "Commission"
to provide certain benefit enhancements to the Employment Agreement entered into between the
City and Kurt Bressner, dated March 7, 2000;
NOW, THEREFORE, the Commission and City Manager agree as follows:
That paragraph 2.0 Salary. Sub-section 2.1, is hereby amended by adding
the words and figures in underlined type and by deleting the words and
figures in struck-through type, as follows:
2.1. City agrees to pay City Manager for his services an annual salary of
HUNDRED TWENTY THREE THOUSAND ($123,000) DOLLARS
payable in equal periodic installments, paid at the sine time that other
m~agehal employees of the City ~e paid. Said sal~ adjustment shall be
retro-active t~ April L 2003.
That 10.0 Vacation, Sick Leave, Disability, Dental, Health, Life Insurance,
Retirement, Memberships and Professional/Education Development
subsection 10.4, is hereby amended by adding the words and figures in
underlined type and by deleting the words and figures in struck-through
type, as follows:
10.4. City and City Manager agree to execute all necessary agreements
provided by the International City/County Management Association-
Retirement Corporation (ICMA-RC) for City Manager's participation in
said ICMA-RC retirement plan, a~

the City M~ager upon City M~ager's resi~ation or disch~ge.
10.4A. The City agrees to permit the City Manager to participate in the
City's General Employee Pension System retroactive to date of
employment, April 10, 2000, provided that the employee share of pension
costs, including retroactive cost and interest, are paid by the City Manager
personally or by the retirement account set forth in paragraph 10.4B.
10.4B. In addition to the salary_ paid by the City to City Manager, the City
agrees to pay an amount equal to ten (10%) of the City Manager's base
salary_ or, $1 1,810 annually, whichever is less, a retirement account on
behalf of the City Manager. The City Manager, shall annually direct
distribution of the funds into either the ICMA-RC Fund or the City's
General Elnployee Pension Fund.
3. Each and every other paragraph of said Employment Agreement dated March 7, 2000, not
specifically herein amended shall remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City of Boynton Beach, Florida has caused this
Agreement to be signed and executed in its behalf by its Mayor and duly attested to by its City
