Minutes 12-12-05 MINUTES OF THE SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING HELD IN THE FIRE/POLICE TRAINING ROOM, CITY HALL, BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ON MONDAY, DECEMBER 12,2005 AT 10:00A.M. Call to Order Chairman Bebensee called the meeting to order at 10:09 a.m. II. Roll Call The Secretary called the roll and declared a quorum was present. III. Acceptance of Minutes of October 10,2005 regular meeting. Motion There were no corrections, deletions or additions to the October 10, 2005 meeting minutes. A motion was made by Brenda LeVant, seconded by Dorothy Mack to accept the minutes of October 10,2005. A vote was taken and unanimously carried. IV. Incident Review Board Referrals No report given. F. Lightning Protection Chairman Bebensee distributed a handout containing information on a lightning detection system. He explained they are interested in a system primarily for the beaches, golf course and anywhere else there might be a lot of people. A copy of the handout is available for inspection in the Office of the City Clerk, Boynton Beach, Florida. Chairman Bebensee stated the members can review the handout and discuss it at the next meeting. G. Holiday Parade Chairman Bebensee stated the parade went very well and the only issue he was unofficially aware of would have been one of the fire department's carts broke. VI. New Business A. Chairman Bebensee gave an update on the draft of the Safety Manual and stated Kevin Nugent would be reviewing the document with others to determine if anything needs to be changed or added. VIII.
