O88-20ORDINANCE NO. 88- ~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA AMENDING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 88-13 TO CHANGE THE DATE OF AN ELECTION TO AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE OF NOT TO EXCEED TWO MILLION FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND ($2,500,000.00) DOLLARS BONDS OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA; PROVIDING THAT EACH AND EVERY TERM. AND PROVISION OF ORDINANCE 88-13 SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AS PREVIOUSLY ENACTED; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WREREAS, on the 5th day of April, 1988, the City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, duly adopted Ordinance No. 88-13, thereby establishing a date of June 7, 1988, for a Special Election for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the City of Boynton Beach the question whether to authorize the issuance of not to exceed Two Million Five Hundred Thousand ($2,500,000.00) Dollars Bonds of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida for providing funds together with any other available funds for paying the cost of acquiring for public park purposes, a ten acre parcel of land along the intracoastal waterway within the City of Boynton Beach, and W~RREAS, it is advantageous to reschedule said Special Election from June 7, 1988, to the regularly scheduled primary election to be held on September 6, I9~88~;~and, WREREAS, the City Commission now desires to make such change; NOW THKREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BYTHE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT: Section 1. That Section 2 of Ordinance No. 88-13 is hereby amended by adding the words in underlined type and by deleting the words and figures shown in struck-through type to read as follows: A Special election is hereby called to be held on ~ne-~7-~988, ~eptember 6, 1988 for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the City the question whether such bonds shall be issued. ~ Each 88.
