Mr. Magazine reported there had been occasions where a member of the public pulled the fire alarms and recently a small boy set off the alarm in the lobby. There was additional discussion on how far away the employees are supposed to be from the building during the fire drills. Mr. Magazine explained the employees should be across the street and it was up to the Safety Coordinator to establish the designated meeting spot. It was noted at the recent fire drill, some employees exited the building and remained in the parking lot directly in front of the building. It was thought the employees being in that area was a hazard. Not only was it not enough distance from the building in the event it was a real fire, but it also would obstruct emergency vehicles who should have clear access. B. Additionally, Mr. Magazine reported that the City Manager had not made a determination about the issue. VI. New Business A. Departmental Safety Issues None. VII.
