Minutes 04-18-17 MINUTES OF THE VETERANS ADVISORY COMMISSION MEETING HELD ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18, 2007, AT 10:00 A.M. IN CONFERENCE ROOM B, CITY HALL, BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA Present: Tom Kaiser, Chair Stanley Gavlick Lester Mckenzie Karl Washington Robert Zimmerman Chuck Magazine, City Liaison Absent: Morris Boruck David Buckner I. Call to Order Chair Kaiser called the meeting to order at 10:02 a.m. II. Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag Chair Kaiser led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. III. Eternal Flame Memorial Mr. Magazine explained he contacted Congressman Klein about the Memorial Day and/or American Legion activities and would be advised later in the week whether Congressman Klein would attend. The Veterans Council meeting will be on the first of May. Chair Kaiser indicated the American Legion would be unveiling its memorial on May 30th at 6 p.m. Former Vice Mayor Ensler would be honored for his contribution and dedication to the Veterans at that time. Chair Kaiser polled the members which park they preferred for the location of the Eternal Flame monument to be located in. There was unanimous agreement the monument should be placed at Bicentennial Park. IV. Adjournment There was consensus to adjourn.
