V. Unfinished Business
A. Fire Drills
Vice Chair Magazine asked whether there were any reports of fire drills or
documentation of any occurring. It was his understanding one or two drills were
conducted and he hoped to have the documentation for the committee to
review. Going forward, he requested any fire drills, scheduled or unscheduled,
should be documented and brought to the Safety Meetings for review and
inclusion with the minutes.
Mr. Landress would follow up about the fire alarm boxes, but had not seen
anything else about them. He also advised information was available for fire
drills and individuals wanting further information should contact Joanna at Fire
and Life Safety about information on scheduling one. Vice Chair Magazine
explained there had been an occasion when a child pulled the alarm. Having the
box would help alleviate accidental alarms.
B. Proud to be a Safe Worker Award
Vice Chair Magazine requested the members be on the lookout for workers
exercising safe work practices for acknowledgement and recognition.
Employees could be recognized in other City publications.
C. Departmental Inspections and Safety Meetings
Vice Chair Magazine informed the members the inspection forms were located on
the shared drive. He requested if a member was aware of a category that
should be added to the form, to let him know and they could add them.
