AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEA/2H, FLORIDA, ADOPTING
A FINAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1985,
AND ~NDING S~ER 30, 1986; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City Charter of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida and the
Laws of Florida require an appropriation ordinance be passed by the City Council
of said municipality each year, adopting a budget showing revenue of the City
from all sources and the estimated expenditures for the various purposes for the
ensuing fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach has complied
with Florida Statutes 200.065; and
WHEREAS, the accompanying ordinance stating the aggregate millage rate
adopted by the City of Boynton Beach for the 1985-1986 fiscal year has been pre-
viously adopted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. That the proposed budget for the ensuing fiscal year pre-
viously prepared by the City Maomger, reviewed and amended by the City Council,
and now filed in the City Hall, City of Boynton Beach, Florida, be and the same
is hereby finalized and adopted for the fiscal year of said municipality
beginning October 1, 1985, and ending September 30, 1986, pursuant to and in
compliance with the provisions of the City Charter of the City of Boynton Beach,
Florida and the Iaws of Florida, said budget being made a part hereof by
reference.
Section 2. Tb~t there is hereby appropriated the sum of 15.711.479
to the General Fund for the payment of operating expenses and necessary capital
outlays for the City Govermment pursuant to the terms of the above budget.
Section 3. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of 923~264 to
the interest and sinking fund for general debt service for the purpose of paying
the interest, principal and reserve due on the general obligation beach bonds of
the City not subject to statutory exeaptions and for redeeming such bonds as
they mature.

Section 4. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of 6,648,757 to
the Water and Sewer Utility Fund for operating expenses and necessary capital
outlays.
Section 5. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of 932,178 to
the Water and Sewer Utility Fund for the purpose of paying debt service due on
the water and sewer revenue bonds, the sum. of 2,018,297 for the depreciation of
utilities, fixed assets and amortization of its revenue bond discounts and pre-
paid insurance, for a total of 2,950,475 ·
Section 6. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of 64,975 to the
Publicity and Advertising Fund for the payment of operating expenses pursuant to
the terms of the above budget.
Section 7. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of 2,898,872 to
the Sanitation Fund for the payment of operating expenses and necessary capital
outlays.
Section 8. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of 3]~;300 to
the General Revenue Sharing Fun~ for operating expenses and necessary capital
outlays.
Section 9. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of 1,090,375 to
the Boynton Beach Recreational Facilities Fund (Golf Course) for operating
expenses and necessary capital outlays.
Section 10. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of 380:6~] tc
the Boynton Beach Recreational Facilities Fund for the purpose of paying debt
service due on the golf course recreational bonds, the sum of 12,814 for the
amortization of its revenue bond discounts and prepaid insurance, for a total of
393,415 .
Section 11. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of 1,742,999 to
the Vehicle Service Fund for the payment of operating expenses and necessary
capital outlays.
Section 12. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of_ to
the Local Option Gas Tax Fund for the payment of operating expenses and
necessary capital outlays.
Section 13. That there is hereby appropriated the sum of 99,670 to
Cc~tunity Redevelopment for the payment of operating expenses and necessary
capital outlays.
Section 14. That this Ordinance shall becc~e effective immediately
upon its second reading and final passage.
