sanitation workers were on their route in the Meadows and saw the children, who were
between the ages of two and five walking on Congress Avenue unaccompanied. The

Safeworker@hotmail.com. The system was an anonymous system that could be used
as a template for the City's program. He suggested discussing it with ITS to see if it
could be used as a database where they could extrapolate information as needed. If
they created a safeworker account, some members or all of the team could review the
materials for confidentiality or any identifying information to ensure it truly became an
anonymous report. Mr. Altman asked whether the Safety Committee wanted the
firefighters to be reporting into the City's program. Mr. Magazine believed departments
should not fragment within the City and would like to see the effort remain as one
program for all departments to use. Mr. Magazine also added information could be
included in the Safety Newsletter. The committee would investigate further to see if ITS
could put the system together. There were various ways to have the information entered
and one option would be to include the submitter's name or whether they wanted to
remain anonymous. One way was to collect information based on incident type and the
other was to offer it to individuals to read. The reporting system could be a good
prevention effort. Mr. Altman advised this initiative was about two months away from
being instituted.
