MINUTES - CEMETERY BOARD

Rules and Regulations

Mrs. Padgett suggested waiting to discuss these with Mr.
Frederick and Mr. Cheney. Chairman Hurford referred to
having revamped his rules and regulations and it was sug-
gested that he submit this revision to the City Manager for
review.
NEW BUSINESS
Consider Request of Thomas J. & Anna E. Warnock
Mrs. Padgett explained that Thomas J. & Anna E. Warnock had
purchased lots under contract and there is a balance due of
$175. They have requested the amount paid of $175 to be re-
funded. Mr. Combs clarified that the request was for a 100%
refund. He suggested that the normal 20% fee be charged of
the $175 which they have paid, since we do not charge interest
and have had bookkeeping work.
After discussion, Mr. Combs made a motion that all refunds be
based on our 80-20% formula irregardless how they are paid for.
The motion was seconded and unanimously carried.
Consider Request of Mrs. Kessler
Mrs. Padgett told about Mrs. Kessler calling to ask if the
Cemetery Board would consider planting vines or hedges along
the south line to block the view of the cemetery from High
Point. It was aareed to advise Mrs. Kessler that her request
would be taken i~to consideration. -
CORRESPONDENCE
A.A.A. Automatic Flag Pole Company
The Secretary showed a brochure of the automatic flag pole.
Mr. Cheney advised he was requested to look into a better
flag pole for the cemetery. He will look into the possibi-
lity of obtaining a taller pole, possibly one used as a
light standard.
OTHER
Mr. Combs referred to the scheduling of funerals and use of
equipment and it was agreed that a schedule should be followed
with the applicable fees.

Mr. Combs made a motion to adjourn. The motion was seconded,
carried and the meeting was properly adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
