A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING
ACTION TAKEN BY THE CITY COMMISSION ON
MARCH 19, 1996, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND
ABRAMSON & ASSOCIATES, PROVIDING FOR REAL
ESTATE ADVISORY SERVICES TO THE CITY
RELATIVE TO THE DOWNTOWN MARINA PROJECT;
AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best interests of the
residents and citizens of the City to enter into a Contract with Abramson & Associates, to
provide evaluation, strategic input and negotiation assistance concerning public-private
financing and disposition structuring relative to the development proposal for the
Downtown Marina Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida does
hereby authorize and direct the City Manager to execute a Contract between the City of
Boynton Beach and Abramson & Associates, to provide evaluation, strategic input and
negotiation assistance concerning public-private financing and disposition structuring
relative to the development proposal for the Downtown Marina Project, a copy of which is
attached hereto as composite Exhibit "A".
Section 2. That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage.

At your request, Abramson & Associates is pleased to submit this proposal to provide real
estate advisory services to the City of Boyn.ton Beach relatE, e to the downtown marhta
project.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
The scope of'this engasement will include evaluation, strategiu input and negotiation
assistance concerning public-private financing and diapo~ion structuring rehtivc to thc
doveiopmcnt proposal for the above-referenced project received by the City in response to
its recent RFP.

hourly billing rate of $125 (a rate ~ted fromtho standard hottrly rate orS150). Out.
of-pocket expenses for such items as trawl, lodgin$ and e~press ma/l, will be charged at
cost. Long distance telephone and favsimil~ transmittal costs ami ~ ~pended in travel
will not be charsed.
Thc maximum amount authorized under this contract will be $5,000. It is understood
that the nature of'the wOrk involved in the aseismnent does not readily lend itself.to
estimation, as time expended w'dl reflect the complexity of'the issues encountered and the
depth to which we aBree it is appropriate to address them. Accordingty, the specified
maximum amount shoutd not be regarded as a time estimate or price to complete any
specific task. Actual time ,-md fees required may exceed this amount or be a lesser
amount. I wilt keep you informed as to progress and time.expended over the course of the
assisnmeut. Other terms and conditions are attached.
