4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON
5 BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING A SIXTY DAY
6 EXTENSION OF THE "NOTICE OF INTENT"
7 APPROVED BY RESOLUTION NO. 10-020; AND
8 PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

10 WHEREAS, the City Commission approved a Notice of Intent (NOI #2010-1) by
11 Resolution RIO-020 on February 2, 2010; and
12 WHEREAS, the Notice of Intent was to be in effect from the date of adoption and
13 thereafter for a maximum period of 180 days, unless otherwise extended by the City
14 Commission by subsequent Resolution following public hearing; and
15 WHEREAS, staff has recommended the temporary moratorium be extended for 60 days
16 thereby extending the time period from August I, 2010 to October 1, 2010 to allow additional
17 time for review of the current draft regulations against the findings of the Broward County Task
Force, present the information and finalize the proposed regulations incorporating any necessary
changes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1.
The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
hereof.
Section 2.
The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida does hereby
extend the Notice of Intent #2010-1, originally approved by Resolution No. RIO-020, for an
2 additional sixty days, to expire on October 1,2010.

Section 3.
That this Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
