and Contents CONTENTS: The Administrative Policy Manual is organized into numerous chapters. The titles of the chapters and brief description of their scope is as follows: Chapter 1
– Administration. Pertains to the general organization of the City administration, the Administrative Policy Manual, public records, and general administrative procedures. Chapter 2
-General Organization Of The City. Pertains to the form of government of the City of Boynton Beach and the City’s overall organizational structure. Chapter 3 -City Commission. Pertains
to the relationship between City employees, managerial personnel, the City Manager, and the City Commission. Chapter 4 – Professional Development. Comprehensive knowledge center which
provides opportunities to employees to obtain and improve their skills and knowledge and provides counseling services on academic matters and career advancement. Chapter 5 -Public Affairs.
Addresses the responsibilities of City employees to the citizens of the City of Boynton Beach, other members of the general public, and the media. Chapter 6 – Human Resources. Relates
to employee relations, personnel rules, safety, and other matters relating to personnel management Chapter 7 -City Facilities. Deals with use of buildings, space allocation, and security
of buildings and land. Chapter 8 -City Equipment. Covers the utilization of City equipment. Chapter 9 -Finance and Budget. Pertains to financial information and budget procedures.
2 Chapter 10 -Procurement. Contains purchasing policies, regulations and procedures. Chapter 11 -City Consumable Goods. Covers appropriate use of consumable goods such as employee uniforms
and tools. Chapter 12 -Risk Management and Insurance. Pertains to procedures for handling accidents and claims against the City. Chapter 13 – Information Technology System. Relates to
use of the City's computer facilities. Chapters 14 -19 -Reserved. Chapter 20 -Miscellaneous. Covers all topics not treated in the categories set forth above. ORGANIZATION: The Administrative
Policy Manual is organized into chapters, sections, and subjects. The first number indicates the chapter. The second number indicates the section. The third number indicates the subject.
