Express Mail PURPOSE: To establish efficient handling of UPS, FedEx and Airborne Express Mail and to enhance appropriate security measures. PROCEDURE: 1. All UPS Overnight Letters will
be accepted at the Lobby Desk. Receptionist will notify the department that a package is waiting pickup. 2. All incoming UPS packages will be delivered to the warehouse. Warehouse personnel
will deliver to the appropriate department. Employee’s personal UPS shipments will not be accepted. 3. Incoming FedEx and Airborne Express packages will be accepted at the Lobby Desk
instead of the City Clerk’s Office. Receptionist will notify the department that a package is waiting to be picked up. Receptionist will log in each delivery by recording the name of
the person she contacted along with the time the contact was made. A department representative will sign the log when picking up the package. 4. Outgoing FedEx and Airborne Express letters
will be brought to the Lobby Desk for pickup prior to 5:00 p.m. The department is responsible for contacting FedEx and Airborne Express to arrange for pickup; however, instead of leaving
the package in the City Clerk’s Office, it should be brought to the Lobby Desk. 5. The mailroom in the City Clerk’s Office will continue to stock FedEx and Airborne Express mailing materials.
